Vacancy announcement for a Post of a Manager for a project on Driving Dzongkhag Development (3 D) Centre. This announcement will be made in BBS TV tonight after 9 pm news.
Background:
Guided by the vision of “Good to Great Gasa”, the Dzongkhag under Dzongkhag Development Grant (DDG) has plan to embark on promotion and development of Driving Dzongkhag Development Centre for the accelerated economic development. This project has the basic objective of generating revenue for Gasa through production of goods and services, import substitution and employment generation.
Terms of Reference for the Manager
1. Core function
The Manager is expected to establish, operate and manage the 3 D centre independently with minimum intervention from Dzongkhag Administration. However all matters related to policy, programme and budget will be guided and supported by Dzongkhag as and when necessary.
Most importantly the Manager is expected to start the work from day one.
2. Desired skills and experiences
-Very good written and communication skills.
-Able and willing to work under difficult conditions (Gasa is still a remote and the amenities are still very basic)
-Interested in rural development
-High level of Imitativeness and innovativeness
-Result oriented
-Self monitored
3. Qualifications and experience
Preference will be given to higher qualifications but it is not a mandatory eligibility criterion.
Experience of successfully starting and managing a rural development and /or rural enterprise project can be a plus point.
4. Duration and remuneration
The work contract will be signed for an initial duration of 6 months with possibility of extension based on need and performance. The remuneration benefits will be guided by the qualification, experience and capability of the selected candidate.
